Practice with intent

Paste a YouTube link, set the BPM, and BarLooper splits the track into bars. Tap any bar to loop it, slow it down, and master the part you keep missing.

How to use

  1. Load a YouTube video

    Paste the URL of the song you want to practice and press 'Load video'.

  2. Set BPM and first beat

    Enter the song's BPM and use the slider to align the first downbeat.

  3. Split into bars

    Press 'Split into bars' — the track is divided into bar sections automatically.

  4. Loop and slow it down

    Tap a bar section to loop it, then drop the speed to 0.5–0.75× until it locks in.

Tip: regular YouTube video URLs (not Shorts) tend to play more reliably.

Do I need to install anything?

No. BarLooper runs entirely in your browser through YouTube's official IFrame Player API — there is nothing to install.

Can I slow the video down while practicing?

Yes. You can change the playback speed between 0.5× and 2× while looping a bar or a custom time range.

Does BarLooper download or store the YouTube video?

No. Videos play through YouTube's official embedded player. BarLooper does not download or store the video itself.
